Positive: Great location & good value compared to the hotels. Nicely done rooms Negative: The rooms were a little warm because we didn’t get a breeze at all with the windows open

Wish we lived closer so we could come back. Positive: So unusual and we loved it! Really nicely decorated, yet retained the historical atmosphere of the building. Surprisingly quiet considering the downtown location. Negative: Nothing to dislike

Great room with some minor issues Positive: The location was very convenient. Our room was light, sunny and quiet. The kitchen was well-equipped. The stairs weren’t nearly as bad as we had expected after reading some of the other reviews. The room was beautifully decorated. Negative: It was quite expensive. Communication prior to arrival was frustrating, with long waits for partial answers, but everything was resolved in the end. After some experimentation, we discovered that only one of the four cooking elements worked. Two kitchen and two bathroom lightbulbs weren’t working. Clambering into the clawfoot bathtub while not tripping on the overlong shower curtains on both sides was nerve-racking.
